Hi there--so one of my pups died last week. Should I removed her from the project? (I'd still be interested in any results from her...but, needless to say, she's not going to be available for follow-up.)

Hi Liz, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our condolences go out to you. We will mark your dog as deceased in our data base. Any results that we get we will certainly share with you as we believe it is your data. May I ask which dog it was so I can mark him or her?
Sorry--I didn't see your reply earlier! It was Dolly. If you track death info: She died in March from a heart tumor that ruptured (seems likely it was hemangiosarcoma). Completely asymptomatic beforehand--she'd gone running earlier in the day. Thanks! Liz
I also have a dog that died recently. Teddy. He was only 2 1/2 years old from sudden cardiac arrest. :( Please mark him as deceased.
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts go out to you and family.
Sadly I helped my dog, Ernie, to "the bridge" on February 22, 2018. He had an autoimmune disease called CUPS (Chronic Ulcerative Paradental Stomatitis. He began having complications after over a year of keeping it under control. I sure miss him :(
Barbara, we have noted this and updated his status in our database. We are so sorry to hear of your loss, and am sure he had an absolutely amazing life with you and siblings! :)
My dog Shiloh passed away before I got the DNA kit...I have another dog that I would like to submit her DNA...I still have the kit but it won't match new dogs description...how do I add another dog? Or can you do it for me? She is a year old unspayed supposidly German Shepherd and Husky mix. Her name is Mia
We are so sorry to hear about your loss and our condolences go out to you and family.
You are more than welcome to add Mia to our study. When you go to your profile but click on "visit the survey" button, you will see the link that says "Add Dog". Please click on that and it will create a new dog profile. You can fill out all of the behavioral information for Mia and what we can do is reassign the swab (which has an identifying barcode on it) to her new profile. Please let us know when the new dogs survey is complete and we will take it from there. If you have any other questions related to this transition, please feel free to email me directly: Brittney@darwinsdogs.org
We thank you very much for participating in our research, and again, so sorry to hear of your loss.
