Maybe someone will see this message: Tuesday 2:34pm CST When I click my mouse on the Begin button under any of the 3 survey categories nothing, absolutely NOTHING happens. Don't know what else to tell you. I added all 3 of my dogs,, filled out their profiles, and filled out my profile,,, ready to take surveys but can't get them to open. Then clicked on the button at far right bottom of page that says Report a Bug,,, read the web page on how to submit a good bug report. Filled out form with above information and then clicked the submit button,,,, nothing,, nada,, zero,,, not a beep,, not a flash or bang,, denada,,, zip,,, page did do a thing. So attempting to do the best I can in a really weird situation and send you a Bug Report via the Forums about the problem with your Bug Report form! LOL Hope you get the issues fixed soon. Can't wait to answer the surveys about my 3 precious, adorable, perfect pups.
Forums > Issues with getting to Surveys & unable to send a Bug Report
Sorry for the troubles. We've smoothed out a lot of problems with the recent rewrite, but as it is brand new I expect there will be a few growing pains.
All of the symptoms you describe can be traced to a single problem submitting web forms. This is working for me, but there was a minor change today (roughly about the time you describe) that may have temporarily got in the way of this. If you try again now are you still having the problem?
Sorry Jesse,,, still can't get to the surveys page. Didn't try to send a bug report. Now what?? LOL
Hmm, I'm glad you reported this. It seems the contact us form wasn't quite working yet - but it should be now. Unfortunately I was also wrong about the two symptoms your observed being connected - the non-responsive survey buttons are not connected to that issue.
On the main survey page you should see three image buttons in the middle column for the surveys Environment, Physical Traits, and one other (perhaps "A Dog's Breakfast") - is this correct? And clicking on these does not go anwhere. But does click on one of these bring up a popup with three buttons saying "Start for A" "Start for B" and "Start for C" where A B and C are your dog's names?
If you would like, the full code to the survey pages are publicly available on our github page so you can audit all scripts (there are very very few) before you enable them for our domain.
The code on the github may be one or two commits behind our server, but I push updates to github regularly.
I just tracked down a bug that was creating the behavior you describe when the surveys were viewed in Firefox. I've just patched this up and they surveys work well again in Firefox (as they should in every major browser).
If you were using Firefox that was likely what was causing your problems. Please let me know if you are still having any issues.
